MISSION STATEMENT

The responsibilities for processing and storing human tissue are considerable and it is crucial therefore for us to have a robust company mission statement for us to focus on and adhere to.  This mission statement is as follows:

BioVault is committed to providing a service of the highest quality and shall be aware and take into consideration the needs and requirements of its customers. In order to achieve this BioVault will:

• Operate a management system to integrate the organisation, procedures, processes and resources.
• Comply with all legislative and legal requirements relevant to the business.
• Continually improve the related systems and techniques adopted by the company.
• Uphold professional values and remain committed to good professional practice and conduct.
• Commit to the health, safety and welfare of all staff. Visitors to the department will be treated with respect and due consideration will be given to their safety while on site.
• Train and develop our staff in the needs and responsibilities of Quality Management to enable a full and effective service to all users.
• Report results of tests in a manner that is timely, confidential, accurate and clinically useful.
• Assess customer feedback, in addition to internal audit and external assessment, to enable continual improvement.
• Set objectives and targets to enable realisation of this policy.

Process management plus compliance with regulations and standards is a shared responsibility; therefore this policy applies to all BioVault personnel.
