BioVault has developed its own highly resilient records database, a bespoke software application written specifically to facilitate the work of a human tissue processing and storage laboratory and to help commercial clients remotely manage their inventory.  It is designed to be very flexible and highly scalable allowing it to be adjusted by each client to suit their own individual requirements.

A common database requirement in European law is that records must be held 30 years beyond the actual sample life with full traceability being maintained.  The BioVault  system satisfies this requirement.
